No Fraud in Tax Strategy Salesman’s Use of His Own Products

On April 6, 2015, after a trial in Tampa, the Tax Court ruled for MNR clients finding that they did not have fraudulently in the filing of tax return. The IRS had assessed approximately $2 million in back taxes and penalties for positions taken by the taxpayers on their 1999 and 2000 tax returns relating to tax shelters promoted by KPMG and others
