Michael Pineiro is an experienced litigator whose practice focuses on complex business litigation, securities, and investor fraud, trust and estates disputes, professional negligence, and regulatory litigation. Mr. Pineiro represents both plaintiffs and defendants in high-profile civil litigation, and in recent years has recovered over $40 million on behalf of his clients.
Prior to MNR, Mr. Pineiro was an associate at Kobre & Kim LLP, where his practice focused on securities litigation, government enforcement defense, and complex commercial litigation. Mr. Pineiro also served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Adalberto Jordan, who served on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Mr. Pineiro has been named a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyer Magazine from 2013 through 2018, as one of the 40 Under 40 Outstanding Lawyers of South Florida by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and recognized as an “On the Rise” lawyer by the Daily Business Review. He currently serves on the Ad Hoc Committee on Rules and Procedures for the U.S. District Court for Southern District of Florida. Mr. Pineiro was also appointed by then-Governor Rick Scott to serve as a commissioner on the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Third District Court of Appeals.
Mr. Pineiro is a member of the Board of Directors of the Cuban American Bar Association and has served on the 21st Century Schools Bond Advisory Committee, which monitors the implementation of a $1.2 billion bond to improve Miami-Dade public schools.
Mr. Pineiro received his A.B., cum laude, from Harvard University, and his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fisk Stone Scholar.
