MNR partner Jeffrey Neiman has been retained as part of a powerhouse legal team to represent Miami Dolphins’ superstar Tyreek Hill in a civil rights case against the Miami-Dade Police Department.
Tyreek is pursuing justice following a troubling traffic stop involving Miami-Dade Police Officer Danny Torres. The incident, which escalated unnecessarily, saw Tyreek forcibly removed from his vehicle, despite the situation not warranting such force. In addition to Jeff, Tyreek has retained Julius B. Collins (Atlanta, Georgia), Stephen B. Kelly, Jr. Jacksonville, Florida) and well-known civil rights attorney, Devon M. Jacob (Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania) to challenge this injustice and push for meaningful police reform.
“It is already clear that well before this incident, Miami-Dade County should have fired Officer Torres,” Jeff said. “Instead, the County repeatedly returned Officer Torres to the street permitting him to use his police authority to terrorize people.”
